Brucejack is one of the highest-grade
operating gold mines in the world

In November 2021 Newcrest agreed to acquire Pretium Resources Inc., including 100% of the Brucejack operation. Brucejack adds a Tier 1 large scale, long life, low cost mine to Newcrest’s portfolio of Tier 1 assets.

Newcrest acquired Pretium Resources and the Brucejack operation on 9 March 2022.

The mining method at Brucejack is long-hole stoping using a combination of longitudinal and transverse mining, depending on zone width and orientation. The ore is crushed underground and conveyed to surface where the fully-enclosed mill produces gold-silver dore bars and flotation concentrate.
